Land Rover’s iconic Range Rover has been the pinnacle of luxury, performance, and SUV of choice for the elite since its inception in the 1970s. Range Rover’s storied history has allowed those with means to traverse the wilds, from the Royal Family to American consumers. While the Rover has dabbled in Hybrid and PHEV vehicles, Land Rover has yet to release a fully electric SUV. That’s set to change for model year 2025, with a highly secretive EV Range Rover set to come to market. Details are scarce, and several reports are unconfirmed, but we at Land Rover Oklahoma City expect all 2025 Range Rover EV trim levels to hit our lot around the end of 2024. Be sure to keep up to date with our Range Rover dealership to learn all the latest about their latest releases, new features, and more.

Electric Range Rover Rumors

Much of what we know about the electric Rover comes from a testing session Land Rover recently had in the Arctic Circle, in an attempt to push the EV Rover to the limits to learn its true capabilities. The EV Range Rover has been tested in a variety of conditions, from -40 degrees Fahrenheit to 122 degrees Fahrenheit to ensure performance never faulters, even in the most strenuous conditions. The brand boasts the electric drivetrain will exceed the gas-powered performance on low-grip surfaces, meaning wheel slippage will likely be monitored by the individual electric motors. The EV Rover is also said to be powered by multiple electric motors said to match and likely exceed the power of its gas sibling. Based on the information Land Rover has provided above, it’s rumored newest Rover will feature four eclectic motors, one attached to each wheel. We don’t have any confirmed information on the powertrain, range, or charging capabilities, but we expect to know more as the year progresses.

Range Rover EV Price, Trims & Release Date

We are also waiting for pricing and confirmed trim levels to be released, but we expect the EV Rover to start around $120,000 and reach up to $160,000 on top trim levels. The all-electric Rover will probably sport three trim levels in its first year. Based on the images we have from the Artic photoshoot, it looks like the EV Range Rover will sport a similar body and design to the standard gas model. We expect it to come with all the bells and whistles, with premium materials throughout the cabin, cutting-edge technology and bountiful standard features. As soon as we know more about what to expect from the all-electric Land Rover, we will let you know, be sure to keep checking in to stay up to date!
