A 3.0-liter six-cylinder does the work, the same engine you'll find under the hood of the 110 and the 130. Off-road hardware is identical to that of the longer bodies, so you're not trading anything away for the shorter wheelbase. Defender 110

Stretching the wheelbase gives the Defender 110 four doors with noticeably more room behind them. The 110 sits in the middle of the lineup in both size and price; the Defender 110 is the most popular of the bunch. The 3.0-liter six-cylinder carries over from the 90, as do the twin-speed transfer box and Terrain Response 2 with Dynamic Program. You also get Wade Sensing, Hill Descent Control, and All Terrain Progress Control as part of the off-road package. Advanced Tow Assist and Trailer Stability Assist mean backing a trailer up shouldn’t need a second pair of eyes. Defender 130

The Defender 130 is the longest of the four, adding a third row and some extra cargo space to stow your gear. The 130 uses the same 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine, two-speed transfer case, and Terrain Response 2 and Wade Sensing you'll find on the shorter bodies. Extra length creates space for passengers and gear, so we’d choose the 130 if you’re going to make regular use of the third row. Three-zone climate control with Rear Cooling Assist reaches everyone on board, and the 13.1-inch touchscreen, Meridian audio, and wireless charging all carry over. Defender OCTA Capability

At the top of the range sits the Defender OCTA, which swaps out more hardware than any other body style. A 4.4-liter turbocharged V8 replaces the six-cylinder, and 6D Dynamics suspension replaces the standard setup. The Body and Soul Seat is the other piece you'll only find on the OCTA. You still get Terrain Response 2, the two-speed transfer case, the Electronic Active Differential with Torque Vectoring by Braking, and Wade Sensing. Cabin equipment matches the others, so you aren't giving anything up from the 13.1-inch Pivi Pro screen to Meridian audio and three-zone climate.
